Well, it's 2009 and there are no
Packer or Bear playoff games ("Playoffs.....are you kidding
me....playoffs?") So we thought we'd go back and bring you the worst, er
I mean best of the 2008 season of the Pro Football Showdown.
As tough as it was, we combed the
shows from this season to find the lowest of the lows, the funniest of
laughs, and some of the most outrageous moments of the year for your
entertainment.
We apologize for what you are about to
hear, but it can be a very cleansing experience. Enjoy.

Packer Dave comes to the Illinois
studio for one of the funniest shows of the year. He covered the
Bears-Packers overtime thriller (well....would you believe entertaining)
at Soldier Field. The guys discuss the Bears playoff chances, whether
the Packers will keep the Lions from making history on Sunday.
Poor fan Viking Ken calls in, only to
get abused by a distraught Dave, and an Internet only exclusive - an
encore presentation of our special rendition of "Twas the Night Before

The Packers are out, the Bears' hopes
for a playoff spot - "Playoffs? Are you kidding me..... playoffs?"
are slim at best, hinge on Minnesota losing at home.
In one of the best shows of the year thus far, the guys look at the
upcoming games including the big Bear-Packer game, the Giants -
Panthers, and Steelers - Titans games. Brandt Douglas of the Tennessee
Radio Network joins us with a preview from Music City.

the Packers need to win at all costs to stay in the playoff hunt. A
Bear win at Minnesota would put them in the drivers seat in the tepid
NFC North.

send off. Comedian/writer/actor
Jeff Cesario
joins the guys as he and Dave relive their days on the set of the
Charlie Sheen movie "The Five Aces." Of course no finale would be
complete without a Super Bowl wrap up. Len brings his "A" game as he
once again skewers Dave.

Since Les was jetting back from
the bumbling Bears' loss at Washington, and Len Ackerman was searching
for Holiday buffets this week, Dave takes on the task of previewing the
Packers-Raiders game and Steelers versus the Patriots, with the help of
Andy Dorf. But don't worry, there's plenty of laughs as the producers
dip into the audio vault to bring you excerpts of some of the best (or
worst, depending on your perspective) programs from the show's 14-year
history. Time warp back to hear discussion of two classic Bear-Packer
games - the 11/14/99 program, shortly after Walter Payton's death, when
Bryan Robinson blocked a last-second FG to preserve a 14-13 win for
Chicago. Also, visit the 12/10/00 show, after a 28-6 Bears drubbing by
Green Bay, when Dave gets Len so riled up, he walks off the show.
